Rugs - Hand-Woven

What do the rugs in this collection have in common? All are woven on traditional, hand-operated wooden looms.  All are offered in Jacaranda’s trademark palette of natural tones. We stock all in several standard sizes. All can be made-to-measure too. However ranges vary as follows:

Chunky Velvet

Thick, dense, smooth velvet pile, packed full of pure wool. Simple borders complement rug centres in a choice of natural tones.

Lustre

Fibres catch and reflect light to give a soft, almost metallic shine to these deep pile, shaggy rugs.  Colour choices are contemporary – Ivory, Silver, Zinc, Graphite and Black.

Pebbles

Just as the name suggests - BIG boucle rugs, hand-woven from felted wool.

Satpura Stripe

Luxurious, deep, dense pile, with a subtle stripe created by contrasting lustrous viscose with pure wool. Now stocked in new larger sizes up to 250x350 cm.

Simla

These smart and contemporary rugs seem almost alive, as their pure viscose pile catches and reflects light in different directions. Made from viscose, they look like silk.

Simla Stripe

These lustrous Simla Stripe rugs, reflect light giving a dramatic silk-like sheen. They sport contemporary stripes rather than traditional borders, combining complimentary natural tones taken from the Simla broadloom carpet collection.

Velvet Border

Simple, stylish and hand-woven from pure, undyed wool, Jacaranda’s Velvet Border rugs offer a soft velvet centre, bordered by a subtle linear texture in complimentary natural colours.  Customers can order standard rugs from stock, or designs made-to-measure from the 7 natural tones in Jacaranda’s Rajasthan broadloom range.
